This long beef bone Maori Toki Necklace is beautifully carved with two Manaia. Such a lot of carving in one toki!
The carving is approximately 14cm (5 1/2") long, and hangs from a long plaited cord with adjustable knots, so you can wear it where you want on your chest.
The Maori Toki design, symbol of the adze implement, spiritually represents power, wisdom and authority.
The Maori Manaia is a spiritual guardian, like a guardian angel, to ward off danger and protect against intruders. It acts as a provider and protector over the sky, earth and sea.
This Toki has two Manaia carved into it.

Love this Taonga, great service, the only complaint I have is, the tracking for shipping is terrible. I know I ordered at the busiest time of year but the tracking didn’t update very often. I got told there was a failed delivery but no slip was left in my letter box and I had to chase it up. However, this is not the fault of Shop NZ who were fantastic. I will be purchasing more items very soon. The mahi of my Taonga is beautiful and represents what I want it to. Just have to get it blessed now. Thank you Shop NZ, can’t wait to order more products.

Originally the item got damaged during shipping. The company was great when contacting, they sent a replacement immediately and it arrived in great condition. Very well crafted. It is very fragile though, so it is a piece that needs to have great care when wearing.
