This genuine NZ Greenstone Open Koru Necklace is made from pounamu with several different shades of green, making it really attractive and eye-catching.
It has been lightly polished, and hangs from a double black cord, with sliding knots so you can position it where you want on your chest.
The pounamu pendant measures approximately 3.7cm (1 1/2") in diameter.
Please note that pounamu varies greatly in colour, from almost white to almost black. Most of the pounamu used for this necklace is a light colour, so most likely kokopu pounamu. The third photo shows you some of the variation in colour.
The Koru design carries a spiritual meaning, one of peace, tranquility, positive change, and new beginnings. Perfect to mark a special point, perhaps a turning point, in someone's life, be it a new job, a new partner, new baby, etc.
Proudly made from genuine pounamu in New Zealand, and shipped worldwide.
NB: Please take good care of this taonga. The tips of koru are relatively fragile due to them ending in a fine point - if you knock a fine point against a counter, table, desk, etc, that can result in a fracture or break to the tip. We do not replace taonga that have not been treated respectfully.

My partner purchased this for me & had it blessed by his cousin at the same time his mother purchased the smaller one for my newborn granddaughter, they are absolutely beautiful...
I love the feel on my skin, how warm it gets (I often find myself rubbing it between my fingers) & also looks great, I get compliments on the colour often...
We have purchased many items from ShopNZ & don't go anywhere else for our Maori/NZ jewelry, carvings, trophies, etc...
I do & would recommend anyone looking for stunning, authentic, quality, Maori/NZ products at an affordable price to go no further than ShopNZ...
Thank you for always providing our family & friends with your stunning products...

As with a few of the other reviewers, the cord is a bit short so I'll need to buy a new cord to really be able to wear it but the stone is beautiful and well made
Hi! I used to live in your country and I've still loved it. I wear my pounamu. This year I've met love of my live - and I've just knew he is love of my live. The only way how I was able to communicate this issue - I bought pounamu kore for him. He went in tears and I love him for the rest of my live. I hate rings and weddings and everything like that. But I believe in pounamu magic.
Gave it to my son for his birthday and in less than 24 hours it had snapped and completely broken in half with no obvious impact or incident just general wear.
I messaged the seller to be told there was nothing they could do as it was our fault.
Not happy with the customer service or the quality. Waste of money for my son to wear it once and then being upset that it was broken. Do not recommend.
Your company was very easy to deal with communicated effectively throughout the process. And the item arrived much sooner than I expected.
I haven't actually seen it myself. It was a gift to a friend in another state period but they are very thrilled with it.
Bought these as gifts for my bridesmaids who had all just gotten engaged, or started a new college course, or just become a mom, so the koru was a perfect symbol for them all starting a new chapter in their lives.
Our son is serving a mission for our church in New Zealand and really wanted a green jade necklace. We ordered it and sent it for his birthday. He loved it! We appreciate how quickly and carefully they shipped it. We ordered a Christmas gift for him as well and he received those this week.
