This Greenstone Heart Necklace with Two Inner Koru is made from genuine New Zealand greenstone (pounamu). The pounamu is sourced from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, and crafted in Carterton, on the North Island.
The pounamu heart hangs from a double black cord with adjustable knots, so you can sit it where you want on your chest.
Whilst the heart is the universal symbol of love, the Māori Koru has its own cultural significance. The Koru design represents the unfurling new fern frond, and spiritually it signifies peace, tranquillity, positive change, and new beginnings. A perfect gift to a loved one, especially when they need peace in their life, or when they are going through a positive life change or starting a new phase in their life.
The greenstone heart measures approximately 3.5cm (1 3/8") long. As with any stone, there is a variety of shades, but all show the natural beauty of pounamu. There are some examples in the photos.

My first one I got broke, the string snapped and the heart broke. It was a great necklace I love it and I’m grateful they sent me a new one but they didn’t have too. The replacement is great, hasn’t broken, only dealing with the string coming untied

The greenstone is very dull, I had expected it to be shiny as they are usually polished. Had bought this for my grand daughter but hesitant to give it to her now as it doesnt look finished.
