This full face Male Maori Temporary Tattoo is best known as Kirituhi, meaning to draw or decorate the skin.
Ta Moko traditional Maori tattoos are created specifically for the wearer, and performed under traditional protocols. They are the sign of mana or prestige.
This contemporary design was created by a Nga Puhi artist, for those who wish to partake in kapa haka, whilst celebrating Maori culture in a respectful way. It makes getting ready for kapa haka events fast and easy.
Cut out each piece - forehead, above eyes, nose, cheeks, around mouth. To apply, make sure the skin is clean and dry. Cleaning with rubbing alcohol gives the best finish. Remove clear sheet. Stick kirituhi down firmly on the skin. Hold a wet sponge on the back of the temporary tattoo for 30 seconds, ensuring all backing paper is wet. Slide off backing. When you are all done, remove the tattoo with alcohol and remove residue with baby oil. A former All Black rugby player told me shaving cream is good for this too.

This is so easy to use. I forgot to get my girls some moko kauae so I had to improvise with what I had to give my girls something to wear. My boy didn’t get to have a full face mataora but he was fine to share with his sisters so they weren’t left out.
