This 143cm (56 1/4") long taiaha is made from sustainably harvested tulip wood, an incredible hardwood that is tough but lightweight.
The tongue of the Māori taiaha (the arero) is made from pounamu, New Zealand greenstone jade.
The rau, the striking blade, is carved at the lower end with koru.
Because of the greenstone tongue, this taiaha is not made for mau rakau, but rather as a beautiful ornamental piece.
Perfect for 21st and other birthdays, as well as a corporate or business gift for someone retiring.
NB: Because of its value and size, it can only be shipped overseas by Courier.

Engraving:
The blade can be laser engraved with a person's name (only), and it can also be paua engraved. There is a limit with both laser and paua engraving, of 12 characters, and paua engraving must be in CAPITALS. This is simply due to there not being a lot of room to engrave on.
Your alternative is to buy a stand as well, and have the stand engraved, where there is lots more room. The matching stand is here>>>
Please note that engraved items cannot be returned, apart from the unlikely event of us getting the engraving wrong.

The best 21st Birthday gift...ever!!
Got this for my partners 21st, we both love it and it was delivered really quickly☺️ The Pounamu tongue looks very sleek and I love how they engraved his name in Paua. Cant wait to show this to everyone at his 21st party!
