This wooden hanging Maori Manaia is a beautiful piece of artwork for your home, as well as a spiritual guardian.
The Manaia is a spiritual guardian, to ward off danger and protect against intruders. It acts as a provider and protector over the sky, earth and sea. So it is perfect to hang in your home or office.
The Manaia has a bird-like head, symbolising flight of the spirit. Its three fingers are believed to represent birth, life and death, symbolising the life cycle of man, or alternatively, the Three Baskets of Knowledge (the knowledge mankind needed from the gods, to be able to live successfully on earth).
This Manaia is made from sustainably harvested hardwood called gaboon. It measures approximately 27.5cm (10 7/8") long, and comes with a wall mounting and in a protective box.
A wonderful personal or business gift.
