The Ti Rakau Maori Stick Game Set is ideal for teaching young and old how to perform Maori Stick Games. Included in the pack are:
Two sets of sticks Game Instructions Sheet Music
Ti Rakau is taught at school here in New Zealand. The game is great for developing hand-eye coordination, and is great fun too. Two lines of participants kneel on the floor facing each other. The sticks are held upright, with one end resting on the floor. Sticks are knocked on the floor, as well as being clicked together, as well as being thrown to a participant on the other line and within the same line, all in time with the music. Lots of noisy fun!
Ti Rakau is a great game for ex-pat New Zealanders to teach to people in other countries, especially on Nations Days or Waitangi Day.
