This NZ Paua Silver Fern Frond Necklace is a beautiful mix of silver and paua shell.
The necklace is made in the shape of an unfurling native fern frond, called the Koru in Maori. Underneath the silver fern frond is a circle of New Zealand Paua Shell, enhancing the overlaid silver design. The combination is beautiful. The necklace measures approximately 3.2cm (1 1/4") long, and hangs from a silver chain.
Paua Shell is New Zealand's native abalone shell, with irridescent shades of blue, green, pink and purple.
