This Maori Tiki Necklace is made from one of our most beautiful New Zealand timbers, Kauri. Crafted from ancient swamp kauri, the timber is estimated to be more than 40,000 years old!
The Maori Tiki represents the first Maori man. The Tiki is worn as a good luck charm, and as a fertility symbol. Many women wear a tiki with the aim of being able to conceive.
This Maori Kauri Tiki Necklace measures approximately 6.5cm (2 1/2") long. It rests on a long traditional black cord.
The necklace comes to you on a free descriptive card, or you can choose from 2 gifting options (see photos):
Flax Kete-Style Bag - your jewellery will be placed in a natural flax keepsake bag.
Premium Rimu Box - your necklace will nestle inside a NZ made luxury Rimu jewellery box.
Proudly made in New Zealand.
