This Bone and Paua Breast Plate Necklace brings together beautiful aspects of New Zealand.

The cow bone breast plate has an intricately notched edge, and Maori Koru surface carving.

It is finished off at the top with a beautiful sliver of native New Zealand paua (abalone) shell.

The Maori Koru design carries a spiritual meaning, one of peace, tranquility, positive change, and new beginnings.

Paua shell is only found in New Zealand waters, and includes beautiful shades of blue, green, pink and purple. No two pieces are the same, but each one is beautiful in its own way.

The breast plate measures approximately 6.5cm x 3cm (2 1/2" x 1 1/8"), and hangs from a long black cord with adjustable knots, so you can position it exactly where you want it.
