Maori Manaia Protector Trophy - Meaningful Birthday Present

This 29.5cm (11 5/8") tall Maori Manaia Trophy is a beautiful and meaningful artwork.  Put it on display or use as a trophy.

Made from solid Pacific Rimu (podocarp), it features a wooden Manaia embellished with native Paua Shell and surface carving, on a large wooden base.

It's a lovely trophy for a special occasion, including mens and womens birthdays, leaving gifts, and sports awards.

The Maori Manaia carries a spiritual meaning. The Manaia was believed to be a spiritual guardian over earth, se and sky, warding off danger and protecting from intruders. The head of this Manaia is bird-like, representing the sky, and the fish scales surface carving represents the sea.

You can purchase the trophy on its own, or have it engraved as well.  There is room on the base to add an engraved plaque, laser engraving into the wood, or paua engraving.

ENGRAVING: We are happy to get the stand engraved for you as an optional extra, so you can mark the occasion. 
Steps:
a) Choose up to 8 words for engraving onto a gold plaque, 6 words if laser engraved, or 12 characters if paua engraved.
b) Select the Engraved option in the Option box.
c) Enter your words in the Engraving Wording box. (If you can't see the Engraving Wording box, it means you haven't selected the Engraved option yet).
Allow 3-4 days for engraving. 

Please note that if we engrave the trophy it cannot be returned, except in the unlikely situation of the engraving wording being done wrong.

There is also the option of purchasing the trophy in a deluxe gift box - perfect when this is a presentation piece.
