This Maori Bone Double Twist Necklace is finished off with a beautiful native Paua Shell tail. It really is a beautiful piece.
The Maori Double Twist design, the Pikorua, is a very popular design because it represents eternal friendship or love. So it's a lovely piece to give to a friend or loved one, or between two families of a couple getting married.
The Maori Double Twist Necklace with Paua Tail is made from New Zealand cow bone and New Zealand Paua (abalone) shell. Paua is our unique native shellfish with a shell containing irridescent shades of blue, green, pink and purple. (Please note that to create the curved paua strip, it is made in two pieces).
This Maori Twist necklace measures approximately 5cm (2") long. It rests on a traditional black adjustable cord, and comes to you on a card detailing its spiritual meaning.

My friend in Indonesia loved the Necklace. My only disappointment with it was that the paua shell was in 2 pieces. Wld hv looked even better with one piece of paua shell - felt it cheapened the look. Otherwise wld def recommend
