Feijoa are a much loved New Zealand fruit.  Thousands of Kiwi households have a feijoa tree or two, or a feijoa hedge.  The fruit ripens from February to April, and the fruit is simply picked when it falls off the tree.  The feijoa are tangy and delicious, and we simply scoop out the flesh and eat it, or make it into feijoa leather, feijoa crumble, feijoa fizz, and lots more.
