Large 23cm NZ Māori Greenstone Mere (Optional Gift Boxes Stand and Engraving)

This large 23cm Māori Greenstone Mere is a beauty in its own right.  There is nothing like a large piece of worked pounamu.

The mere plus stand, or in gift box, makes it an excellent presentation piece to give to retiring business leaders, inspiring coaches, for a 21st, tangi, etc. Or purchase one of these magnificent pieces to add to your Māori artefacts collection.

This polished Maori Greenstone Mere is made from New Zealand greenstone, found on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. At approximately 23cm (9") long, the mere is  shorter than the normal length of an ancient mere (often 33 to 34cm long) but is still an impressive piece to hold in your hand.  You could potentially also put it on a strong cord around your neck, for the ultimate statement piece.

The Greenstone Mere is finished off with a plaited strap. Please always hold the mere at the short end, with your hand through the strap. This is a valuable item that you don't want to drop. Greenstone dropped at just the right angle on a hard floor can shatter.

Ideally, store it on a wooden stand or in the presentation box, and enjoy looking at the innate beauty of New Zealand Greenstone Jade (pounamu).

Optional engraving:

If you purchase the display stand, it can be engraved.  Choose from:

1. An engraved gold plaque on the front - up to 5 words.
   
2. Laser engraving into the front of the stand - also up to 5 words.
3. Laser engraving or gold plaque on the back of the stand as well.

Allow 3-4 days for engraving to be done.  Engraved items cannot be returned, aside from the unlikely event that the engraving has been done wrong.  placement of engraving on front and back of the stand.
