This very cute Piwakawaka Fantail Card is designed by Northland artist Katy Hayward.

I've known Katy for many years, as she went to Ngunguru School with my daughter. And I have delightedly watched her growth as an amazing tattoo artist, predominantly decorating her customers' skin with the most finely detailed, intricate tattoos of New Zealand's wonderful wildlife.

Now she has turned her skills to decorating bone china and cards, and I look forward to more from her.

This card is called "come fly with me", and features a pair of piwakawaka (also known as piwaiwaka) fantails, flitting around like they do in our native bush and home gardens. They flit about catching insects on the fly.

This is an A6 (104mm x 148mm) card, with matching white envelope.
