In May 2018, Whittakers launched their Dark Salted Caramel Chocolate and Creamy Caramel Chocolate, much to the delight of New Zealanders.
The Whittakers Creamy Caramel Chocolate is made from 33% cocoa Milk Chocolate, and it is a delight. If this makes sense, it reminds me of how Cadbury Caramello used to be. Whittakers have come out with a smoother, creamier caramel, and it is so delicious.
The Whittakers Dark Salted Chocolate is made from 62% cocoa Dark Chocolate, so you know you are getting a premium chocolate. They haven't gone overboard with the salt, but it is just enough to provide that added subtle flavour.
Both come in 250g blocks, and we hope that Whittakers will continue to offer them. The packaging has not been marked Limited Edition, so we are hopeful they are to be part of their regular range.
