Short Purple and White Maori Korowai with White and Gold Taniko

This short purple and white Maori korowai is really dressed up with its white and gold taniko.  

The korowai (kahu huruhuru) would be particularly lovely as the one worn by a tane at his wedding, while his wahine wears the white version (find it here >>>>).

The short cape is made using purple and white feathers, with a taniko trim that is white with a shiny gold thread through it.  The patiki design in the taniko signifies abundance, prosperity, and care for others.

Measurements are approximately 103cm x 23cm (40 1/2" x 9").

Lovingly made in New Zealand by a Maori lady of Ngati Porou descent.
