This beautiful Gold and Jade Newborn Baby Māori Korowai is a delightful gift for the new baby (pepi). Gift it to your own baby, or your mokopuna.
A korowai is the perfect gift for the new baby. Use it for a very special photo. Later they can hang it on the wall - it would look beautiful in a glass fronted box.
The correct Māori name for it is kahu huruhuru, but many people, including Māori, still call it a korowai.
The korowai is machine sewn by a Māori lady from Auckland, New Zealand, to make it affordable for all. It measures approximately 37cm x 39cm (14 1/2" x 15 1/4").
The taniko is gold, black and white, and the feathers are white at the top, then a beautiful mix of gold and jade.
Proudly made by a Ngāti Porou lady, and shipped worldwide.
There is also the option of getting the korowai in a deluxe black gift box - perfect if this is a presentation piece. The photo of it is a representative photo - if ordered, you will receive this gold korowai in the black box.
