This NZ Maori Fish Hook Trophy is simple but very attractive.
Made from native timber matai, the hook is embellished on the front with a paua shell eye. Paua shell is New Zealand's native abalone shell, with beautiful shades of blue, green, pink and purple.
The trophy measures approximately 21cm (8 1/2") from the ground. The base measures approximately 10cm x 6.8cm x 2cm (4" x 2 5/8" x 3/4").
The Maori Fish Hook design has a spiritual meaning, one of peace, prosperity, good health, strength and safe travel over water.
The trophy is proudly made in New Zealand.
If desired, you can have this piece engraved with a gold plaque (up to 5 words). Enter the words in the box that pops up when you select the engraved option. The base can also be paua engraved or laser engraved. Paua engraving must be in CAPITALS and is limited to 18 characters.
