This wooden carved Maori Koru makes a great piece to put on display or use as a trophy.
The Koru design has a spiritual meaning, one of peace, tranquility, new beginnings, and positive change. So it makes a great gift for school leavers, retirement, business and corporate gifts, as well as for birthdays and sports awards.
The Koru Trophy is made from Pacific Rimu (Podocarp), and is proudly made in New Zealand. The design is embellished with native New Zealand Paua shell, both on the trophy and its base. Including the base, the trophy stands approximately 19cm (7 1/2") tall.
ENGRAVING: We are happy to get the stand engraved with a gold plaque for you as an optional extra, so you can mark a special occasion. Laser engraving the base (into the wood) and paua engraving is also available.
Steps:
a) Choose up to 7 words for an engraved gold plaque, or for laser engraving into the wooden base.
b) Select the Engraved option in the Option box below.
c) Enter your words in the Engraving Wording box. (If you can't see the Engraving Wording box, it means you haven't selected the Engraved option yet).
Allow 3-4 days for engraving to be done.
Paua engraving is another option, but is limited to 9 characters and can only be in CAPITALS.
There is also the option of purchasing the trophy nestled in a deluxe black gift box - perfect as a presentation gift.

I purchased this for a trophy for a local charity golf tournament in Hastings. I loved the wood and the ability to add an engraved heading. The first place team got to hold it for photos and will remain in the trophy cabinet for next years tournament.
