This Maori Pikorua Twist Trophy is big and solid, made from sustainably harvested Tulip Wood, and measuring 43cm (17") tall.
It is particularly good as a trophy, as the large base gives you plenty of room for an engraved plaque, laser engraving, or paua engraving, and we can do all of that for you!
The Maori Pikorua represents two fern shoots twisting and growing together, and spiritually it signifies enduring love or friendship between two people or families. So a lovely birthday gift and to gift for a wedding or anniversary. It is also the perfect business or corporate gift to signify a close business relationship, particularly those built on trust. Even when the two parties move apart, they always come back together.
Please note that the surface carving may vary a little depending on who does the carving, but it will be similar to what you see in the photos. You are welcome to contact us to send a photo of what we have in stock when you come to order.
ENGRAVING: We are happy to get the base engraved for you as an optional extra, so you can mark the occasion. Steps: a) Choose up to 8 words for a gold engraved plaque, or laser engraved into the wood. Choose up to 12 characters only for paua engraving, and for that we use the uncarved side of the base. b) Select your Engraved option. c) Enter your words in the Engraving Wording box. (If you can't see the Engraving Wording box, it means you haven't selected the Engraved option yet). Allow 3-4 days for engraving.
