This Maori Short Korowai with Forest Green Taniko and Feathers is perfect for graduations or other ceremonies where it provides the look of a korowai without the full length.
This korowai, or kahu huruhuru to be exact, is made by a Maori lady of Ngati Porou descent. She learned the art of making korowai from her mother, who learnt the art from a Northland kuia.
It has a Forest Green, Black and White knitted taniko top, with Forest Green feathers below.
We are here to help you come up with something that is perfect for you.
The taniko has a patiki design, which spiritually means abundance, prosperity, and care of others.
This korowai measures approximately 1m wide, and 20cm (8") deep. It is lined with black fabric.
NB: If we are out of stock at the time you order, allow 2 weeks for it to be made.
Proudly Maori made in New Zealand, and shipped worldwide.
The korowai is also available in a deluxe black gift box - perfect if this is a presentation piece. The photo of the boxed short korowai is a representative photo, showing one of our other short korowai boxed.
