Genuine NZ Greenstone Kiwi Bird Necklace

This genuine NZ Greenstone Kiwi Bird Necklace is a very special souvenir of New Zealand.

The beautifully carved Kiwi bird is the symbol of the New Zealand people - we call ourselves Kiwis.  The Kiwi is our iconic native flightless bird.

Made from pounamu from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, the kiwi bird is strung on a black adjustable cord.  Wear it around your neck, and it will also stand on its own.

The kiwi, carved on both sides, measures approximately 4.5cm x 3.2cm (1 3/4" x 1 1/4").  

With its delicate beak, this is a necklace to be treasured and cared for gently.  Do not wear it to bed, and be careful not to knock it against a table or countertop.  

Wear it as a wonderful symbol of New Zealand.
