Genuine NZ Greenstone Hook with Koru Necklace

This Genuine NZ Greenstone Hook Koru Necklace is a beautiful piece of jade carving.

Carved in New Zealand from green stone from the Hokitika region, the small but perfect necklace is beautifully detailed.

The pounamu carving is approximately 3cm (1 1/4") long, and hangs from a long adjustable black cord.

Perfect for those who don't want a super large pounamu necklace.

The greenstone pendant incorporates two Maori symbols. Overall it is carved in a fish hook (hei matau) shape, which carries a spiritual meaning of peace, prosperity, and good health, and safe travel over water.

Within the hook is a Koru, like a curving wave. The Koru represents the unfurling new fern shoot, and signifies peace, tranquility, new beginnings, and positive change.

Together they are a positive force.
