These Greenstone Shark Tooth Earrings are made from genuine New Zealand Pounamu, from the Hokitika area of the West Coast of the South Island of Aotearoa.
Maori prized the shark tooth for adornment, in necklaces and earrings. In Maori mythology, the Milky Way was formed from the shark Te Mangoroa.
Each shark tooth measures approximately 3cm (1 1/8") long.
