Large 15cm Maori Bone Toki Necklace with Koru Carving

This Large 15cm (6") Maori Bone Toki Koru Necklace is an absolute stunner.

Being large, it is going to really stand out when worn, yet it's light enough to be worn comfortably.

The Bone Toki is beautifully bound at the top, has a plaited cord for extra strength, and a cord that measures approximately 70cm (27 1/2") long. The cord is finished with a bone toggle.

The Toki is surface carved with many Koru, with one Koru cut right through to the back.

Koru represent the unfurling new fern shoot, and spiritually signify peace, tranquility, new beginnings and personal change.

The Toki, or adze, was an important Maori implement in pre-European times. Worn around the neck, it represents wisdom, power and authority.
