Child Size Paua Blue Short Korowai

This Child Size Paua Blue Short Korowai is designed for all sorts of special occasions involving children, from graduation for pre-school or school, to birthdays, christenings etc.

The feathers are a mix of shades of blue, to give that paua effect, and the korowai ties at the front with a black cord.

To decide on the size you require, measure the child around their shoulders to centre front.  Take off about 5 centimetres length to allow for room for the cords to be tied.  If you need a different width to that offered (40cm, 50cm, 60cm, or 70cm), email us for a quote.

And we can make other colours - choose your feathers here, and your taniko here.  The taniko used is in a patiki design.

The korowai, or kahu huruhuru (feather cloak) as it should really be referred to, is proudly made by a Maori woman of Ngati Porou descent.  She learned the skill from her mother, who was taught by a Northland kuia.
