The Kea ( Nestor notabilis) is rated as one of the most intelligent birds in the world, which helps it to survive New Zealand's harsh alpine environment. The bird has quickly adapted to the presence of humans, and can easily be viewed at campgrounds and holiday spots in the South Island, where you can watch it open rubbish bins ( that's Kiwi for trash cans) and tear off rubber car moldings, with its beak.
The Kea is a social, inquisitive bird, which uses the strong manipulative power of its beak to investigate objects, including cars, causing quite some damage. The Kea is a big bird, growing to half a metre long (20"). It nests on the ground at high altitude, amongst boulders. Currently regarded as rare, this cheeky parrot enjoys full protection.

I received my bird the sound lasted 2 days brought for my nephew he was upset it no longer worked sent email stating I was not happy with purchase and why asked for a replacement or refund and I was happy to return faulty one no response do not recommend this place no customer service what so ever very disappointed customer
