The 7.5cm (3") long earrings are made from cow bone, finished off with dots and bands of native New Zealand paua shell.  Paua is New Zealand's native abalone, found only in NZ waters.  No two shells are the same, and the shell contains irridescent shades of blue, green, pink and purple.  Lovely worn as earrings, as the paua will catch the light.
