Shopify issue with shipping from NZ to overseas Shopify issue with shipping from NZ to overseas

Hi everyone.  Sorry to have to alert you to this, but earlier this year our website platform, Shopify, decided to force customers to change currency at Checkout to that of the country they are shipping to.  They control the Checkout; we cannot change it.
So if you are in New Zealand, for instance, and want to send a gift to someone in Australia, when you get to Checkout the currency changes to AU dollars.
If you are using Paypal, this won't happen.  But if you use any other payment method, it will.
There is (almost) nothing we can do about this.  Shopify is a big multinational company, and you can't get to speak to the people who could create change. I've tried, and I continue to try, believe me.  This idea is nuts.  Although they do state that the currency has changed at Checkout, many people don't notice.
So, the workaround ...email us (lesley@shopnz.com) with the details of what you want to purchase, how you want it shipped, and the name, address and phone number of the recipient, and we will send you a new invoice that will have your or our NZ address as the shipping address, but we will ship to your intended recipient overseas.
If you have already placed your order and only notice it afterwards, just email us and we will cancel the order and arrange with you to send you a new invoice.
We are deeply sorry about this, and will continue to battle to get this changed.

And we continue to ship overseas every day of the working week.
